IT'S OUR VOICE! OUR HEALING!

There are many ways to do voice work. Our school approaches the voice through streams of mantra: Vedic, Tantric, and Bhakti. Each one of us is responsible for how we use our voice. Our voices are always doing something, if not externally, then internally, in our minds.

From The Golden Path To Wholeness

The voice is the barometer of the soul. Therefore, we will be focused on the voice throughout our journey together, starting with this overview.

We can train our voice to reflect and channel our deepest self much more than our ego's negative aspects, our psychological self.

Our voice can reflect the depth and integrity of self, out of which we are functioning. In other instances, and often by default, it expresses our shallowness and superficiality.

Just as we can discern various Soul qualities in another person's voice, we can do the same with our own voice. Except, we don't. We are, most often, not paying sufficient attention to the sound of our voice. And this is both the voice we use aloud and, more importantly, the voice we use inside our head.

What if we can create transparency in our voice, especially for ourselves? We certainly know when we are trying to keep the anger out of our own voice. And we know when fear is being expressed through our voice.

These lower spectrum emotions invariably convey the voice of the ego. What if we could find a more profound presence within ourselves in such moments? And what if this presence can voice Love in place of anger; or peace instead of fear? This is the voice of Soul that we must seek to cultivate.
